Based in Red Deer, Alberta, Force Pile Driving is a full-service pile driving company servicing all of western Canada and into the US.

We are known as a hardworking and conscientious pile driving supplier that is dedicated to ensuring optimal results through the use of advanced technology and industry experience. Our clients include major oil and gas companies, engineering firms, construction companies, government organizations, civil construction, electrical transmission and bridge builders.

Dallas Lenius

Vice President

Dallas holds a Bachelorís degree in Business (Finance) and a Diploma in Marketing. He has been involved in the construction industry since 1989 and has worked in many operational and corporate capacities, ranging from equipment operation to construction management.

Kevin Cojocar

Business Development Calgary

Kevin spent 15 years in the Geo-synthetics and Environmental Containment industry. His roles included field operations, field supervision, field safety, quality control, estimating, sales and project management and was involved with numerous successful projects across Canada and the US.

Jason Auld

Senior Dispatch

Jason has worked in the oil and gas industry for 20 years and in oilfield construction for five years. Jason joined Force Pile Driving in June 2012 as a Dispatcher before moving into estimating in January 2013. He is currently working towards achieving his PMP designation.

Luke Mather

Business Development

Luke has been in heavy construction for 11 years with roles in logistics, QHSE and QAQC management, field operations, operations and business development. He holds a bachelorís degree in political science and is committed to the success of every project Force Pile Driving undertakes.

Joe Cabay

Senior Project Manager

Joe is responsible for organizing and closing out projects, training supervisors and project managers and advising management. Joe possesses over 40 years of experience working in heavy industrial energy construction, with such companies as CNRL and Suncor.

Shawn Purdy

QA/QC & HR Manager

Shawn worked for 17 years at a global company that provided cementing, fracturing, nitrogen, coil tubing and acid and fluid systems. He was responsible for operating equipment, supervising, training and development, recruiting and problem solving customer issues.

Stirling Larwill

HSE Manager

Stirling has overseen the completion of new safety pre-qualifications and safety environmental controls, including the management of WCB COR audits. He has 18 years of experience in the transportation sector and completed OH&S education at the University of Alberta.

Andy Farrow

Controller

Andy is responsible for the finance department as the Controller. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration and Certificate in Professional Accounting and has held positions with HSBC, Pepsico Beverages and 7-Eleven corporate.

Jay Westwood

Operations Manager

Jay started his career working in the oilfield in 1984 at a family-run seismic company and was in charge of crews consisting of 75+ workers, camps and equipment. Jay joined Force Pile Driving as Wheeler Operator in 2010 and is now Operations Manager.

Troy Park

General Manager

Troy possesses 25 years of experience in industrial and commercial construction in the oil and gas sector. Troy joined Force Pile Driving in October 2010 as a Senior Estimator and then assumed the role of General Manager.

Dean Hall

Vice President

Educated as a Journeyman Welder, Dean earned his ticket by age 19, started his own welding company and possesses over 15 years of welding experience. Dean established and grew another piling company before selling it and co-founding Force Pile Driving.

Dallas Lenius

Vice President

Pile Driving Installation

Pre-Drill Services

Force Pile Driving solves challenging sub-surface conditions with our state-of-the art pre-drill rigs. We use modern technology and tools such as Kelly auger drills and air hammer, button, tricone and carbide bits to access any type of ground conditions.

Pipe Sales

As one of the largest suppliers for piling materials in western Canada, Force Pile Driving carries a complete range and stock of all nominal lengths and diameters of pipe piles necessary to complete any pile driving project.

Welding Services

Force Pile Driving is CWB approved and expertly provides a wide variety of welding procedures to accommodate any customer requests or designs, from cutting and capping to final cut-offs and splicing.

Transportation

Force Pile Driving is experienced and efficient in transporting all necessary materials to your job site - for any size of project - to ensure that schedules are met. Using trailers, trombones and wheelers, we facilitate pipe hauling and equipment moving anywhere across western Canada, including remote off road locations.

Design Engineering

We specialize in design engineering. By incorporating loading information in combination with Geo Technical data, Force Pile Driving is capable of designing custom foundations for any type of project.

Optimization Engineering

By analyzing and integrating existing engineering information, we are able to verify or, in some cases, increase the efficiency of each project design, therefore saving capital for our customers.

Surveying

Force Pile Driving has the know-how and experience required to conduct complete surveying for all types of projects - from commercial to heavy industrial jobs.

Load Testing

In conducting both PDA and Static Load Testing, Force Pile Driving uses the most technologically advanced PDA testing available in the market today. This technology includes remote viewing, which is the most efficient use of in-house engineering possible and produces expatiated results.

Industrial & Commercial Construction Projects

Project Types

Force Pile Driving efficiently and safely completes pile driving jobs of all sizes. In each case, we get the job done right.

Projects with 100 piles or under

This is a one to two day job and we will arrive promptly to complete the project within this time frame. Examples of this type of project include Pump Jacks, Separator Buildings, High Lines, Tank Farms and D-Highs.

Projects with 100 to 1,000 piles

These jobs will generally take from one week to one month to complete. Force Pile Driving provides transportation of all equipment, materials and manpower and assigns a Project Manager, Supervisor, Operator and Swamper to each project location for the duration of the project. Examples of this type of job include Bridge Work, Warehouses and SAGD (Steam Assisted Gravity Drain) Expansions.

Projects with 1,000+ piles

These types of jobs include transportation of all equipment, materials and manpower by Force Pile Driving. In addition, a complete pile driving team is assigned to each location. Examples of large projects include Start Ups for SAGD Facility Camps, Pipelines and Gas Plant Terminals.

Kearl Lake - 2000 piles

Under an extremely tight timeline, Force Pile Driving completed 2,000 piles in under 5 weeks by working 24-hours a day and running three crews. Each 24-inch pile was required to be spliced such that each was greater than 20 meters in length. Cutting, capping and surveying were all also a part of this time-sensitive project.

    Force Pile provides high quality, efficient and error free piling by constantly measuring tolerances and specifications against IFC drawings throughout a project. Improvements to quality control systems based on this real time feedback help to continually improve our service and end product for our customers.

    Adherence to specifications is a core function of our construction planning and integral to the success of a Force Pile project. From the pre-planning phase forward our customers can see the attention to detail and professional care given to each project. Force Pile knows that field work must be supported by accurately and timely produced turnover documents to support engineering requirements. Accurate piling reporting is assured through an extensive auditing process.

    If required, piles can also be monitored using Pile Dynamic Analysis along with the supporting engineering to ensure capacities are met. Force Pile produced industry leading turnover documents that can be tailored to meet specific customer requirements as needed. Force Pile believes each successful piling project is supported by judicious QA/QC documentation to verify our end product.

    July 27th, 2014: Safety Excellence

    Force Pile Driving was awarded an Enbridge Safety Excellence flag on their current Enbridge job site. This award is part of Enbridge's effort to recognize contractor companies who have achieved strong safety performance on its projects. Criteria include implementation of safety and loss prevention programs supported by management commitment, employee involvement and program innovation.     May 10, 2014: Force Pile Driving Adds New Rigs to Its Fleet

    Force Pile Driving is pleased to announce that it has recently added two technologically advanced pile driving units to its growing fleet of leading pile drivers. The new additions consist of two Junttan rigs: the PM 16 and the PM 25.

    Already hard at work on Force Pile Driving projects, the PM 16 is a compact and agile pile driver that has the same proven features as the heavier Junttan machines. Designed for pile driving where piles are lighter and shorter, the rig can be used for driving timber, sheet, H-Beam, concrete and different types of steel piles. The PM 16 has proven productivity due to excellent mobility, easy and fast handling of piles and top pile driving performance with Junttan hydraulic hammers. This unit also features a self-erecting leader and many advanced technical features to ensure that the rig is ready to work in just a few minutes. Because of its lightweight construction and compact size, the rig can be easily transported to a new working site.

    The PM 25 opens an entirely new era in piling. Based on the unsurpassed features that Junttan piling rigs have become famous for, it efficiently combines modern manufacturing technologies and materials for further enhanced reliability, versatility and performance. This unit is a medium weigh piling rig designed for driving steel and concrete piles. It boasts a telescopic leader for extremely efficient and powerful heavy duty use along with excellent stability and wide leader inclination. Top pile driving performance is guaranteed with Junttan hydraulic hammers and an optional side drill or vibrator hammer makes pile driving even more efficient in some difficult soil conditions. The PM 25ís rugged design makes it a safe and reliable rig in the most demanding working conditions and in spite of its larger size, it can still be easily transported to a new working site.
